“Our association with The PTI has been transformative in so many areas of our curriculum, simply by providing school leaders with access to the very best knowledge and understanding in every subject (…) Three years ago, our Geography curriculum was very much classroom based and many of our pupils were unable to explain what Geography was. In Belle Vue now, our Geography lessons can take place in our local area, up mountains and even in our capital city – London. We have clubs, competitions, take part in local conservation efforts and our pupils now have a real passion for the subject. The catalyst for all of this was one PTI subject leader day in Penrith.” - Mark Shenton, Deputy Headteacher, Belle Vue Primary School

The Highly Commended schools were:

  • Cardwell Primary School, London
  • Tregadillett Primary School, Cornwall
